The following United States veterans took time for a group picture after the Veteran’s Day ceremony held at the New Armory in Williston on November 11, 2017.

Taps (see video in separate link with Williston Middle School student, Quinn Kaiser), originally called “taptoo,” served as a signal to soldiers for the end of the day. “Taps now is played by the military at burial and memorial services, to accompany the lowering of the flag and to signal the “lights out” command at day’s end” (“The Story of Taps”).
