What’s something interesting about yourself that people might know about you?

I was in the Peace Corps. I taught English in a small village in Azerbaijan, a country that borders Iran, Russia, Georgia, and Armenia.

What do you think defines success?

I define success by achieving goals and personal happiness, not by money.

We only have one day of life left on earth what would you do with your day?

I would go for a drive to go get coffee. I would go with my husband and two Schnauzers, Sherlock and Otis. I would also spend time with my nieces, parents, grandparents, and family.

If you were to go anywhere in the world where would you go?

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Who is inspiring to you?

My mom is the most inspiring to me because she works hard, she takes care of people, and she has overcome illness.

 What’s your favorite part of your job?

Working with the students!

Where did you grow up?

I grew up on a farm near Trenton.

What’s your fav color?

I love the color blue.

How many years have you been working at WHS?

I THINK I’ve been working here for 6 years…

What are your responsibilities at WHS?

Teaching, collaborating with colleagues, communicating with parents, keeping up with best practices and education research

If you hadn’t decided to teach Journalism and English what would you have taught?

I would have been interested in teaching math, business, or foreign language

Why did you choose this career?

I fell in love with teaching English when I was in the Peace Corps, and after I moved back to the US, I decided to change careers and pursue teaching.

Should pineapples be on pizza?

Yes, it’s my favorite topping!!
