Where I come from my people are taught to respect the land and all creation

I am from the four sacred mountains of the Dine nation

I am rooted

I am humble

I am respected

I am a believer

I am a singer

I am a jingle dress dancer

I have faith

I am young

I am sensitive

Where I come from people

Stereotypes

say that native americans

Dropout of high school or teen girls get pregnant or as drunks and partiers

I pretend that I don’t care

But people make their own decisions

   am

            to

               be

                  better

I will not give up

I want to graduate high school and go to college
