In September, we sat down with Officer Dixon for a Coyotes Spotlight  interview. We asked him some questions so our Coyote community could get to know him better.

How many years have you been working at WHS?

I have been working at Williston High School as a resource officer for 2 years.

What’s your favorite part of your job?

My favorite part about my job is hanging and talking to students.

Where did you grow up?

I was born and raised here in Williston, North Dakota.

What’s your favorite?

My favorite color is red.

What are your responsibilities at WHS?

45% Counseling.

45% Education.

10% Law Enforcement.

If you hadn’t become a resource officer, what would you be?

I would be a full time fire fighter at the Williston Fire Department.

Why did you choose this career?

I chose this career because I like helping people, and I was in the military and I missed it, so I came back.

How long have you been a police officer?

I’ve been a police officer for 3 years. I am on the swat team also.

Do you think pineapple should go on pizza?

NOOOOOOO, I don’t think pineapple goes on pizza–only meats.
