Introducing: Mrs. Cummings!

Sage Fessenden, Reporter

Introducing one of our many incredible new teachers, Mrs. Cummings

Q: Are you from Williston? If not, where are you from?

A: I was born in Duluth, Minnesota; I was raised in Sioux City, Iowa, Nebraska, then Montana before moving here.

Q: What subject do you teach?

A: English.

Q: How has your time been in the classroom?

A: I genuinely like it. I didn’t teach for two years, and I missed the classroom.

Q: What was your favorite subject in school?

A: History.

Q: What made you want to teach?

A: I like being personally invested in people’s futures. I also really like to talk.

Q: When did you start teaching?

A: 2006.

Q: If you were teaching at a different school, what are some differences?

A: My classes have generally been smaller than here. People here are kinder.

Q: Where did you go to college?

A: The University of Iowa and Grandview University.

Q: Do you have any hobbies?

A: I love to cook, I like watching movies, I like Zumba, and I like reading nonfiction.

Q: Do you advise coach any activities?

A: Not currently.

Q: As a fun question, is a quesadilla a Mexican grilled cheese?

A: I struggle with that because with a quesadilla you can put other things in it. So I’d say no. I do enjoy a good quesadilla though.

Q: Do you have any hidden talents?

A: I’m really good at building IKEA furniture.

Q: What’s your favorite trend that’s coming back?

A: Flannel.
