Limited Hall Passes

Ava Marburger

Rumor has that the school administration has been considering limited hall passes for each individual student. Every quarter, a student will have a maximum of 10 passes. The pass includes the following usage: bathroom, library, emergency, food and beverages, locker, or seeing a counselor. No matter what circumstance it may be, the hall pass will count it. Meaning, if needed to leave a classroom, a hall pass will be taken each time a student leaves a classroom.

Can you believe the school wants to take away our bathroom privileges just to reduce the number of students in the hallways? This seems a bit absurd. I don’t know about you, but I can’t hold it in after every class period. Even if I would, I wouldn’t be able to concentrate much in class. All I would be thinking is how badly I’d have to go. Also, what about us athletes? We need to drink a large amount of water to perform well in our athletics. We can’t do that if our bathroom passes are limited.
