Technology nowadays goes further and further. The world is full of a new creation. Everybody uses technology for daily life. Smartphones are the most use of technology.  “This year, the number of mobile phones users are forecast to reach 4.68 billion, 62.9 percent of the population”, a survey by Statista Telecommunication. There are advantages and disadvantages of using technology.

Teachers can also use technology to improve the quality of teaching and learning. We live in a technological world, students can use technology in many good ways. Technology provides students with an effective way to learn. Students can look up specific information or questions from a teacher, find answers, and do more research online. Technology allows any student more opportunities to learn and expand their knowledge. Phones are also technology. Phones are used for emergency purposes. Technology is the very tool we need in our daily lives.

Technology can also be harmful to humans, especially to students. Technology can be a distraction to students. Instead of doing the assignment, they are with their phones playing video games. Technology can disconnect students from social interactions. Students don’t have the time to socialize, because every student is with their phones. Technology causes a lot. Smartphones like iPhones are very expensive, some students can’t afford to buy a phone or any device for school. Good thing that the school is providing devices for those students who don’t have a device.

Some people see technology as a benefit and some people see it as a distraction. Usage of technology should be controlled so that everyone can benefit from it.
