The LGBTQ+ Summit  and the Rainbow Rendezvous of Williston invited the WHS GSA to participate in the youth panel. WHS GSA represented the high school with pride and knowledge.

Comments from GSA Advisor, Ms. Wheeler:  Students of GSA led conversations and spoke with “no fear” to an audience of over 120 people including professionals, citizens of ND, other state representatives, Washington DC advocates, and representatives from several LGBTQ+ national organizations. Many topics were talked about such as safe places, mental health, and universal bathrooms. The legal concerns were researched and thought out. Student participants were Daisy Wheeler, President of GSA; Zoey Melberg, Co-Vice President; Yhatzi Rodriguez, Co-Vice President; Aleena Weber, Secretary; Emily Steger, Club Member; LeAnne Tracey, Staff Advisory; and Heather Wheeler, Parent Advisory.
