The WHS Intro to Journalism class interviewed the new teachers. Officer Nick Nelson is our new SRO. He is from Mahtomedi, Minnesota. When Officer Nelson was in college for law enforcement, representatives from the Williston Police Department were there. He saw it as a good opportunity and he likes being around kids. Officer Nelson did eight years on patrol and thought it was time to change things up. We asked Officer Nelson what he would be doing if he wasn’t in the field of work he’s in now. He told us he would probably be doing construction. Officer Nelson enjoys cookie dough ice cream and Home Alone 2. If he could have any super power, he said he would choose to be able to fly.
