Dignity Clothing Protectors

Reese Tody and Jayla Arcand

The students in the class clothing and textiles II are required to do a recycle project, and this year Ms. Gullikson chose for the class to do a dignity clothing protector. A dignity clothing protector is a bib made from mens or womens dress shirts. The shirts are meant for the elderly for clothing protection while still keeping dignity. Once the bibs are completed they will be donated to Bethel Lutheran Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Ms. Gullikson said, “The sewing community has had a long history of coming to the rescue in times of need. This project is a good way to not only look at the recycling issue but it is also about giving back to the community.” During Covid-19 the class also made masks and gave them back to the community.
