Realcare Babies at WHS

Reese Tody and Jayla Arcand

This month students in the Child Development class took home Realcare Babies. A Realcare Baby is an infant simulator that tracks and reports the caregivers attentiveness and behaviors. To prepare for this, the students in the class have been learning about the growth and stages of infant development since the semester began.

The infant simulator is just like a regular baby and requires to be fed, burped, rocked, and have its diaper changed. This opportunity allows the students to get an understanding of parenting and caregiving. Student Brityn Wallin commented, “The baby wouldn’t stop crying, but it was a good learning experience.”
