The Williston Coyotes girls cross country team went to Jamestown for the North Dakota State Cross Country meet on Saturday October 26th, to try and win their fourth state championship in five years. Two weeks before the State meet the girls team went to Watford City for the WDA Championship and ended up taking 5th place behind Bismarck High, Minot, Legacy, and Century who won the meet with a team score of 53 points. At the state meet they locked in, and ended up winning the State Meet after taking fifth two weeks before at WDA. They actually tied with Bismarck High for first place, so the tie breaker went to whichever team had the faster 6th runner. Our 6th place runner was Brooklyn Kitchens who smoked Bismarck Highs 6th place runner. Brooklyn ran a 20:18 while Bismarck ran a 21:07. Our top five runners were Harley Jeannotte running a 18:48, Cambree Moss running a 19:53, Angela Wold running a 20:02, and Finley Ames running a 20:07, and Brenly Vigness running a 20:12. Williston won the meet with a team score of 86.
