“Thank You Day” Becoming a Lost Art

Thank You Day Becoming a Lost Art

Forever Watford, WHS Reporter

Thank You Note Day is a holiday that comes around every year on December 20th. It’s a day to gather notes, cards, paper, pen, envelopes, and stamps to write special thanks for the gifts you receive.

Taking time to thank your family and friends with personalized messages that have special meaning is becoming a lost art.

In ancient Egyptian and Chinese societies, people used papyrus papers to write friendly letters or letters of good luck to the ones they cared about. Early 1800’s Europeans wrote social notes and delivered them to friends and family.

Thank You Note Day is a wonderful holiday that makes time with our family and friends way better, making everyone cheerful and just all-around happier.

Thank you to all the WHS staff! We appreciate all you do for us each and every day, making our school a great place to be.
