Netflix Review- Shockingly Evil, Extremely Wicked and Vile

Jacqueline Tinga, WHS Editor

Recently, Netflix has provided its audience with a chilling new movie. Shockingly Evil, Extremely Wicked and Vile is an amazing film starring Zac Efron and Lily Collins. The movie is based on one of America’s most notorious serial killers, Ted Bundy. Overall, the film is accurately put together and tells Bundy‘s story phenomenally well.

Personally, I love all things serial killers and documentaries. When I initially saw this movie come up on Netflix, I was skeptical about the accuracy. However, while I was watching, I was pleasantly surprised by the accurate content. I absolutely loved this movie.

10/10 would recommend.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS FILM CONTAINS MATURE CONTENT AND IS RATED R.

Cool Things About The Film:

  • The movie title is based on the Florida Judges words toward Bundy when being sentenced for the Chi Omega Sorority killings
  • The number of things that are said and the camera angles during Ted Bundy’s trial in the film accurately portray the details shown during the nationally televised version
  • The timeline of events matches the way that the documentary series Conversations With A Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes (also something to watch on Netflix) shows them
  • There are real film clips at the end of the movie from when Bundy was in Florida, such as his public indictment and his “girlfriend” Carole-Anne’s press announcements on Bundy’s behalf
