On Saturday October 23rd, the girl’s and boy’s cross country team were able to accomplish something that had never been done before in WHS history, both the boys and girls team won state! Eleni Lovgren took first overall and was named the 2021 Powerade senior athlete of the year! Sierra Watterude and Marenn Larsen both placed in the top 20, Ivan Askim took second, Fynn Krenz took fourth, and Ethan Moe took eighth. Coach Gregory and Coach Wahlstrom earned coach of the year! What a great end to a great season all thanks to hard work!
