At WHS one of the strong programs is the Girls Hockey Program. Their main goal for this season is to make it to state. Currently standing at 12 points they will have to win their next couple of games to make it to the championship tournament. 

  Kyah Stundal and Anyka Wiedrich are student-athletes on the girls hockey team. “Our program is definitely not growing for the worse, it’s growing for the better except for the fact we don’t have many younger girls coming up.” what Stundal says about the situation. The girls team travels to Fargo this Friday to face The Davies.

“The end goal for this season is to make a state no matter what happens, we know we can do it.” what Wiedrich states about the topic. 

“Our biggest rivals this season is Minot High, we have faced them twice and won both.” Stundal states. Having rivals in HS sports makes them a lot more enjoyable and brings healthy competition. “Having a rival makes your drive to win stronger, your team tries more cause we all have the same goal.”Wiedrich states.
