National Vanilla Cupcake Day is November 10th!

Forever Watford, WHS Reporter

“Did You Know…that vanilla is the only fruit-bearing and edible orchid in the world?” (“Fun Holiday – Vanilla Cupcake Day”).

Cupcakes can be traced back to 1796. One story credits Thomas Jefferson with bringing the spice over from France. Cupcakes started off by being baked in heavy pottery cups. People in the United Kingdom refer to the dessert as “fairy cakes,” while the Australian’s call them “patty cakes” (“Fun Holiday – Vanilla Cupcake Day”).

A way to celebrate Vanilla Cupcake Day is by sharing cupcakes with your friends, family or even maybe eating all the cupcakes by yourself while watching the Food Network!
