For this article I interviewed Mylie Slater and Emily Kerschion on the Agricultural class we are all involved in at the moment. And how they like this hands-on class so far.
I asked Mylie to really speak on what Agriculture class at WHS is about. She says that “ It is really all about Building, Animals, Welding, and Gardening also with hands-on activities and much fun!” Emily also agrees with this when she replies with “ I benefit from agriculture because it helps me learn about livestock, welding, gardening, and making friendships with people I never thought I’d be friends with.’’
While both girls agree that this class is very hardworking and fun, there are still some hard parts. Emily stated that “Paying more attention, listening to what our teacher said and asking others around me for help” is what she needs to work on most. But with Mylie “The hardest thing for me in agriculture is learning about livestock, I’m not really familiar with animals and how they all adapt” is the more technical side.
Next the girls talk about how Agriculture shows opportunities, Mylie saying” I want to stay in Seely Daniels classroom to get more experienced with agriculture”, and Emily with “Joining agriculture could be the best decision you make due to the fun work we do and animals you get to be around.” Both Emily and Mylie are both very excited to continue with Agriculture this year!
