Elizabeth Leko and Keandra Dalaunay, ready for Formal 2016.

Forever Watford, WHS Reporter

Have you always wondered how many people really go to formal? Who really spends the time looking for dresses, shoes, and jewelry? I asked people why they go to formal, how it’s like for them, how much fun they have on that night; I wondered how beautiful they feel in the fancy dresses and makeup and dancing with all their friends or their dates.

Here’s what Jackie Lemus shared:

Question – Why do you go to formal?

Answer- Just for the fun of it, trying to make the best out of my high school years.

Question- How did you find out about formal and want to start going?

Answer- Lots of people were talking about it during my middle school years, plus some people were posting pictures about it.

Question- Do you enjoy trying on dresses and buying them for formal?

Answer- Yes and no; I  don’t like trying the dresses on.

Question – Do you enjoy walking through the grand march?

Answer-I didn’t do it last year so I don’t have an answer.

Question- Are you going with a date?

Answer- Why yes, I am.

In conclusion, Formal is a high school dance that can be attended with friends or on a formal date. This interview hopefully highlights that everybody can go and have the time of their lives. Maybe, just maybe, it will make a special memory for your high school years!

Formal is sponsored by the Rainbow Girls (not WHS). Tickets for Formal are one for $15 or two for $30. See Forever Watford for questions.
