  •  In North Dakota, it’s illegal to lie down and take a nap with your shoes on.
  •  You may be put in jail for wearing a hat while dancing.

  • In North Dakota, it’s illegal to keep an elk in a sandbox in your backyard.
  • North Dakota set a world record after serving 4,620 lbs of french fries at the french fry frenzy of 2006.
  • English didn’t become the official language of North Dakota until 1987.
  • The tap water is occasionally flammable.
  • North Dakota is the only state in America that has never had an earthquake.
