Girls State is a week-long camp that teaches the basics of our government. This opportunity is only available the summer after your junior year. This summer I head to Grand Forks as a participant in this camp.

I will be spending a week on the UND campus, staying in the dorms. This will allow me to meet other people my age in the state. We as a group will create a working government by the end of one week.

Going to Girls State will help me learn about the politics in our local and state government as well as leave with a handful of new friends.
